Dear all, We, organizing committee released the first circular,
today. Please download following links. MS Doc formatPDF formatWelcome to
Sendai, the “City of Trees”!
Natural
environment, economic transitions and cultural activities are some of
the
things that geographers have always been paying attentions to, and as we
are in
the era of expanding globalization, we can only understand these
phenomena
while going across the borders of each country. East Asia
is indeed one of the regions where these transformations are identified
with
rapid developments. What can geographers do in order for us all,
especially
those in East Asia, to have sustainable
development?
The
5th Japan-Korea-China Joint Conference on Geography sets the theme as
“’Green
Society’ in East Asia: A Geographical Contribution”, where we share
ideas on
economic and cultural development and the creation of
environmentally-friendly
society of East Asia in the 21st century. We
kindly expect all participants to discuss how Geography can contribute
to
realizing the creation of the Green Society from their professional
expertise.
During the conference, geographers, especially young promising scholars
are
expected to enhance friendship as well as to have animated discussions.
Senior geographers
are also welcome to attend the conference as facilitators who can
support the
discussion and friendship enhancement, and also use it as a good
opportunity
for sharing latest and stimulus research outcomes.
